The Sendai system is an uninhabited system located deep within Syndic space. The system once boasted a very large star with many planets, until the star collapsed in on itself, becoming a black hole. In the days before hypergate travel, ships stopped in the Sendai system out of necessity, as its location made it a natural transit point for ships using system jump drives. With the advent of the hypergate system, Sendai, with virtually no strategic or commercial value, was all but forgotten. Captain Geary and the Lost Fleet transited the Sendai system en route to Daiquon.
